Bri and I (and now Adi) usually wait for Steve at the top of the stairs when he gets home. Recently we've added another aspect to the ratio: pure uninhibited excitement! Oh, and we are dog sitting so there is not usually a dog around to block the shot and kiss, but I didn't want to miss this phase so we're sticking with this video.

Bri shopping
I'm already teaching Bri how to shop and she loves it! She follows me around and actually does a really good job steering amd not hitting too many things. In a few years, I think she'll be ready to go solo!

1 week old
Adilyn’s a week old already! Can you believe it? Well I can. These nights have been long!!! Thanks to my mom and Steve who have both been a big help in getting me as much sleep as possible. At 8 days, Adi already has her first cold. No fun with a baby this young but today (day 9), she’s back to her crying and hungry self which warms my heart. Here are her 1 week old pics. I’m curious to see how good I’ll be about posting these with a second. ;)
What’s this? Brielle discovered I was taking pics and low and behold, had to be part of the fun.
And at this point, a post wouldn’t be complete without… Attack of Brielle!

This is going to be one of my shorter worded posts. Here goes:

Short Birth Story:
For those of you who knew my desire to go natural, I made it. Pre-labor lasted from 10am the 5th thru midnight that same day at which time I decided it was smart to wake Steve since I still wasn't having text book contractions but felt something was going to happen soon. Called the midwife around 12:30. She said to meet her at the Birthing Inn at 1am. Got there around 1am. Got checked around 1:15 and was told I was at 6cm. Completely bummed me out considering I figured my body had worked much harder than that all day. Seriously considered (and may have asked a few times) to go straight to the hospital to get the epidural since I was convinced I was stuck at 6 like last time and was too tired to go through that again. Luckily the midwife knew better and told me to stay. 2am, checked and at 10cm and ready to push. 2:10, Adilyn arrived!
